Skogssvamp (forest mushroom) is a project to develop a web based application for forest owners in Sweden to estimate and visualise the species composition of fungi on their land. As a planning tool for better landmanagement it will simulate how different methods of forestry, such as clear cutting vs selective logging, effects the fungal community over time.
The project is under development in collaboration with the Swedish University of Agriculture (SLU) with prospective funding from Skogssällskapet.

Subplot_01ew
As the Alps keep warming due to climate change the iconic edelweiss flower is becoming increasingly endangered. Preserving it elsewhere through artificial means suggests a way to avoid extinction, but the question wether it is desirable or not interlinks with a multitude of economical, ecological, and cultural interests. If the environmental context in which edelweiss grows disappears, to what extent is it necessary to conserve it?
Subplot_01ew is the first in a series of experiment to grow edelweiss outside the Alps. The series is meant as a provocation for multi-layered conversations around conservation and identity.
The first version was supported by the Musée d’art contemporain de Lyon and the interreg research program Effondrement des Alpes.
A second version including a portable cooling chamber is currently under construction.
